This is a STUDENT ONLY EVENT.

All seniors must complete one: Opens October 1st.

1. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

2. Certify a non-participation waiver. Waivers will be available upon request. (will give out in May)

Free college application week at participating colleges! As a reminder, this is also our FALL BREAK.

This is by invitation only. The student will receive an invitation from his/her teacher(s).

Seniors summarize their time at Oxford by presenting a Digital Portfolio Presentation to administrators, family and peers. Individual dates/times will be assigned to the students.

• Last names A–G: 8:00–9:00 a.m.
• Last names H–O: 9:00–10:00 a.m.
• Last names P–Z: 10:00–11:00 a.m.

5:00 p.m. at Oxford Performing Arts Center

• Students must notify counselors of scholarships and provide award letters. 
• Colleges will only recognize scholarships that are confirmed by deposits or required steps.

If the steps above are not completed by the deadline established by the school in Schoology communications, the student will not be recognized at the program.

1:00 p.m. at Oxford Performing Arts Center

Baccalaureate is optional but practice is required for all participating seniors.

3:00 p.m. at Oxford Performing Arts Center

Seniors need to arrive by 2:15 p.m. in full cap and gown.

7:00 a.m. – Senior Breakfast (OHS Cafeteria – optional but encouraged)

8:00 a.m. – Graduation Practice MANDATORY (Lamar Field) If graduation is moved due to inclement weather (see inclement weather plan), practice will be held the morning of the new graduation date and is still mandatory in order to walk. No practice = no graduation participation.

7:00 p.m. – Graduation Ceremony (Lamar Field) Seniors will report at 5:30 p.m., park in the Media Center parking lot, and report to me, senior teachers, and administrators in the OHS lunchroom. Be sure to be appropriately dressed.

Dress Code:

• Dark dress clothing with dark shoes (flats recommended for safety on the field).
• Acceptable tops: black shirt with “old gold” tie OR white shirt with “old gold/black” tie.
• School dress code applies, including:
  • No tennis shoes.
  • No unnatural hair colors or styles.
  • No gum or sunglasses.
  • No decorated caps.
  • Only school-issued stoles may be worn.

Any senior who has failed more than one-half (0.50) credit will NOT be allowed to walk at graduation. Seniors must make up all failed credits during Senior Summer School to obtain a diploma. [Further information will be provided to those students who have failed.]
