Our Principal

Cale Wright
With more than 20 years in education, including 6 years and counting in school administration, I am honored to serve as Principal and continue supporting the students, faculty, and community of Oxford City Schools. My career in education began at Oxford High School, where I spent 17.5 years teaching history and coaching football, baseball, golf, and girls' basketball. I then transitioned into administration, serving 5.5 years at Oxford Middle School and one year in administration at Oxford High School. These experiences have provided me with a strong foundation in instructional leadership, student support, and school operations across multiple grade levels.
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science Education from Troy University, a Master’s degree in History Education, and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Jacksonville State University. I also hold an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University.
My leadership philosophy is rooted in building strong relationships with students, faculty, families, and the community. I believe that trust, communication, and collaboration are essential to creating a positive school culture where both students and staff can thrive academically and personally.
Outside of school, my greatest joy is my family. I have two daughters who attend Oxford City Schools. My oldest daughter, Mattie, attends Oxford High School and is actively involved in volleyball, golf, and numerous school organizations, including Ambassadors and FCA. My younger daughter, Marlie, is also very active in athletics, participating in volleyball and softball, as well as various school activities.
I am proud to be part of a community that values education, relationships, and student success, and I look forward to continuing to serve and support our school.
